Biosketch and Research Interests
My career started as a programmer which changed after working at a children’s home for two years. After that, I studied applied work and organizational psychology for my bachelor’s degree at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Northwestern Switzerland and then focused more on neuropsychology and statistics for my master at the University of Zurich.
While working on my master’s I also started working as a research assistant in the Digital Innovation Lab of the department of Applied Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Northwestern Switzerland, focusing on emergent and immersive technologies like virtual reality and humanoid robots. Our focus was on learning in virtual environments and usability / acceptance testing.
I am interested in the epistemics of psychology as well as how research can benefit real people. Combining my expertise in computer science with psychology I try to contribute to (digital) mental healthcare. I am hopeful, that a thoughtful approach can channel the ever-growing possibilities provided by digitalization into concrete benefits. I care deeply for the most vulnerable people in society and those, who take it upon themselves to help them. I hope my work helps ease the burden of social workers and teachers and reaches those who need it.
